“Back to life 2” is under development

Hello ,
about “Back to Life “, I want to present the prototype of the following : Back to Life 2.

SCENARIO :

the setting is organic-aquatic.

OBJECT OF THE GAME AND STRUCTURE :

as in the previous chapter, the aim of the game is to fill a certain percentage of the surrounding environment , but this time the method is quite different : by pressing the appropriate button , it switches to “filling mode” and you have to draw a trail closed ( polygon, in the end … ) that will fill up and create a ‘ bubble ‘ floating increasing the percentage ‘ covered ‘ .
This “bubble” closed crystallize after a few seconds, making it impossible to enter into it.

If an enemy or the main character touch the ‘bubble’ in the design phase, this will explode forcing the player to restart the construction.

Bonuses can help change the percentage needed to overcome level.

On the scene there are also random barriers;  the number of these increases according to the level.

There are three worlds with increasing difficulty.

MAIN FEATURES:

  • LOAD/SAVE CURRENT LEVEL

Enemies

  • Generic cell: only stops the creation of bubbles.
  • Bacterium: If touched, it decreases the time available.
  • Virus: if touched, it increases the percentage to be filled.
  • Speed ​​viruses: If touched, it decreases the speed of the protagonist.

Bonuses

  • Time bonus: increases the time available.
  • Power up bonus: decreases the rate of filling necessary to pass the level.
  • Speed ​​bonus: increases the speed of the protagonist.

Worlds

  • World 1: normal, without obstacles.
  • World 2: normal obstacles.
  • World 3: normal and mortals obstacles ( if these objects are touched by the main character, it’s game over!..)

Game options

  • Three modes of camera ( normal, dynamic or ‘map’ )
  • Two game speeds
  • Two game difficulties
  • Two cell modes (dynamic or fixed, the cells that make up the organic tissue can be floating or fixed – option to optimize the execution speed)

If the red trail that traces the ‘ bubble ‘ is touched by enemies or by the protagonist , this explodes destroying .

Back to Life is a platform game based on physics.
NOW PUBLISHED FOR WINDOWS AND ANDROID!!!


The setting is biological / cell and the protagonist is a beneficial cell that needs to revive the dying cells of a tissue .
In each level you will need to bring back to life at least 90 % of the cells , and to do this the player must jump over them or fly over .
Each level has a time limit to complete.
All levels are generated in a procedural manner , and the size of the organic tissue gradually increases according to the levels themselves.

There are two types of enemies :

  • Virus – is an enemy that passes over the tissue cells and kills them , necessitating a new revitalization.
  • Bacterium – is an enemy that chases the cell protagonist and , if touched, decreases the time available .

The organic tissue are also present BONUS , which are beneficial cells that , if touched , exploding increasing the time available.

Each level is generated by the algorithm perlinNoise and so it is always different and unpredictable.

On the top of the screen there is a map that helps the player to understand the way to go.
The size of the playing field gradually increases with the increase of the levels.

There are two new features in the game:

Dynamic Cells : a new game mode in which the cells are floating in space.
Power UP bonuses: bonuses that allow you to revitalize many neighboring cells simultaneously.
